Julia Martin

Director of Private Dining and HR

Being in the industry for over 20 years, Julia has worked in all aspects of restaurants. She started her career as a host in high school, moving to become a server and bartender during college in Monterey.  She came back to San Jose in 2009 and worked as a manager for 2 restaurants in Santana Row.  Wanting a change, but wanting to remain in the industry, she took a job as a catering manager in Sunnyvale for a small cafe where she worked for 3 years before leaving to become a catering director for BAMCO. She found her way to Chef Stout via a family connection (Auntie Cheryl), who had been friends with Chef Stout for a few years prior to him opening Orchard City Kitchen.  

Julia started with Chef Stout at Orchard City Kitchen in September of 2014, 3 months prior to opening the doors and has been around ever since.  Being hired as a floor manager she somehow acquired the HR director role and the natural gravitation to event planning lead her to overseeing private events.
